Multi-Jointed Vintage Fashion Dolls

The Deluxe Reading doll presented on this page is a 20-inch gal -- jointed at the neck, shoulders, waist, hips, knees and ankles. She was probably designed to be a ballerina. She is a wonderful fashion doll -- and those Deluxe Reading *chipmunk cheeks* give her a unique look!

I love the multi-jointed vintage fashion dolls, but they do present some challenges when they need repair. The doll companies experimented a lot with various contraptions to make the dolls bend, twist and pose, and each one is a little different.

Many people refer to all multi-jointed dolls as Dollikins, but it was Uneeda that produced the authentic Dollikin. I plan to do a separate page for Uneeda's multi-jointed Dollikin.
