Kitty Collier

Kitty Collier is a Robert Tonner creation. She was created by Tonner to bring back the style of the vintage fashion dolls -- and she does that superbly! The first Kitty Collier doll was the 18-inch beauty. Her little protege, Tiny Kitty Collier, joined the fashion scene later. Tiny Kitty is a 10-inch doll with a twist waist and jointed knees. Both dolls are immensely popular, and expected to hold their value well in the world of collectors.

While not of the same proportions as the Revlon dolls of the 1950's, the Kitty Collier dolls are reminiscent of the big sister/little sister dolls so popular in the fifties.

Tiny Kitty Collier

My grandkids and I staged a fashion show using big Kitty, Ashton Drake's Gene, Madam Alexander's Alex and Pacific Jakk's discontinued Elle dolls. Kitty Collier won! Of course there were only the four of us voting (Grandpa was brought in for the final judging, and we didn't count the toddler vote!) I guess you could call her an award-winning doll -- at least as far as we're concerned!
