Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
This section is self-explanatory!
How old are you? I am old enough to remember Spoolies, Pop Beads, Ding Dong School, Five & Dime Stores, Nickel Cokes, Penny Candy, Poodle Skirts, Penny Loafers, Can-Cans, Tiny Tears, W.T. Grants, Sky King, and a host of comic book characters, including Archie, Jughead, Betty, Veronica, Reggie, Little Lulu, Richie Rich and Baby Huey. "Nuff said?
Can you tell me what my doll is worth? No. The only monetary value a doll has, in my opinion, is what someone is willing to pay for it at any given time. The best way to find that out is to check some eBay auctions. Online auctions have become like one big reference tool for doll values. It doesn't matter what the books list as a doll's value if current market trends say otherwise.
What is your favorite doll? That's easy! I heard this somewhere and think it's great:
My favorite doll is always the one I just got!
How did you get so interested in dolls? Well, I started off trying to reclaim a lost childhood. Then I just decided to keep on bein' a kid! *smile*
Why do you show mostly the dolls' faces on your Web pages, instead of the whole doll? When I first designed the site, I just wanted to give visitors a peek at my dolls. Photographing their faces has become a creative endeavor for me. Although I continue to love doing the face photos, in the future I may show some body comparisons of various dolls.
When will you have some more questions posted? As of June 2008, questions will be addressed in my blog at http://www.ladycamellia.com/blog
