29-30 Inch High Heel Doll
I favor the plastic Sweet Ann and Sweet Gail dolls over the soft vinyl dolls (Sweet Rosemary, Darling Debbie, Betty The Bride, Cinderella and Beautiful Gail) because they are easier to pose. Many collectors prefer to restore these big dolls as close to the original as possible. I like to dress them in all kinds of different fashions. I got a soft vinyl Sweet Rosemary doll for Christmas in 1957, but my family moved so much that Sweet Rosemary and I lost contact. I thought about her over the years with great fondness, but figured she'd remain a distant memory. Then I found her on eBay, along with others, and brought them all home. When the nostalgia subsided, I auctioned them off -- but I still have a soft spot in my heart for these gals. In my opinion (humble, of course), these big glamour dolls all need to kick up their heels a bit. They have been in closets, attics and basements far too long. Move over, Barbie! My Portfolio, accessible from my Main Page, has a section devoted to Sweet Rosemary and friends. * * * Doll Menu * * *
